Heading North

Today we left our campground near Freeport, Maine. We will miss the coast--it's so pretty. Now we are on our way to more coastline--in Canada.

We drove through the "interior" of Maine and as we went further and further North, it began to look very similar to interior Alaska! Looked very familiar to us old Alaskans. The increased number of mosquitoes here in the campground REALLY feels like Alaska!

We are now camped about 4 miles from the Canadian border. We are joining up here with a group to tour the Maritime Provinces together. We're really looking forward to seeing this part of the world.
