Into Texas
We left Las Cruces after having maintanence done on our Cummins ISC engine at Valley Diesel. I would recommend them for service as the owner is very involved and his mechanics are long term employees. The drive from Cruces, with an overnight at Ft. Stockton, to Kerrville was uneventful and we are now at Kerrville-Schreiner State Park until Monday. This is a nice park, some sites with 50amp full hookups, run by the city of Kerrville. Since we are Texas residents we had the required Texas safety inspection done on the Jeep and will have the Motorhome done Monday as we leave here for Lake Corpus Christi. Last nights rain gave way to cool ground fog and clearing skies today. We ran into San Antonio for groceries and a lunch at the famous Rudy's Bar-B-Que. If you're ever in San Antonio, do not miss this special Bar-B-Que treat!! The Creamed Corn is to die for! (The Bar-B-Que is great too.)
