Catching up with us

We have neglected the blog for quite a while now--to our readers....so sorry!
We have not been up to much actually. After we left Livingston, we headed to the Hill Country and New Braunfels, TX. We visited the Wurstfest ("the 10 day celebration of the sausage") and enjoyed the food and music. Also spent some time with friends Jim and Margaret. It was good to see them.

Then it was on to Corpus Christi and the Gulf Coast. After a brief overnite (and another visit with Jim and Margaret) we headed south to Port Isabel. We spent a week there during which we ate lots of fresh shrimp.

Then it was on to Donna to spend Turkey Day with Bob and Ellie. It was a great day--good foods, lots of good people, great weather for a patio meal--lots to be thankful for.
We met lots of nice people in Donna and decided to go back there in mid-December for the remainder of the winter. We even got to visit with Rose and Herm (friends from Iowa who know from our winters in AZ). They are also wintering in TX this year.

At this time we are back in Port Isabel. We weathered the cold front that affected most of the country--in the morning it was 81 degrees and by noon it was 49 degrees! Of course, no snow and it will warm up again in a few days.
